The Gold Coast neighborhood is arguably one of the best places to be a pampered pooch. Here are our recommendations for the best dog friendly Spots near Gild apartments.
TAILS IN THE CITY – 1 E DELAWARE PL
Splurge on your pup at this swanky pet boutique, whose tag line – ‘your dog deserves luxury’ – really sums it up. Take home a classic buffalo jacket or alpaca sweater for your pooch, and don’t forget to accessorize with a hair bow, pom scarf or barrette! Plush dog beds and luxurious collars are aplenty, and a ‘Chewy Vuitton’ toy purse might just be the cherry on top.
THE SHOPS AT NORTH BRIDGE/NORDSTROM – 520 N MICHIGAN AVE
After all that shopping for your doggo, you might feel inspired to turn your attention towards self-care. Luckily, The Shops at North Bridge understand that the epitome of luxury is never having to leave your furry friend at home. Browse multiple levels of retail stores with your BFF in tow, and enjoy the ‘pet comfort stations’ on levels 1 and 2 that offer treats, water and waste baggies. You might generously decide to pick up a few more items for your companion if you happen to pop into Nordstrom – with pet items like a leopard microfleece hoodie or Kiehls’ coat grooming shampoo, there’s something for everyone at this mall.
BENNETT PARK DOG RUN – 451 E GRAND
Opened in 2019, this two-acre green space serves as an urban respite for patrons and pups alike. Designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh (the same architecture firm behind Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park and the 606), Bennett boasts two dog parks, a large playground, and heavenly landscaping. The dog run is a highlight and is separated into different areas for small dogs and large. Sitting atop an underground parking garage, you can play and relax throughout many paths, lush with trees and vegetation. Park hours apply, but dog amenities are available 24/7.
LOEWS CHICAGO HOTEL – 455 N PARK DR
Take a staycation with your mutt to gift them the royal treatment. Loews was the first national hotel chain to launch a hotel program for pets, and their passion for our fur babies is glaringly evident upon arrival. When checking in, your pooch will be regaled with treats, dog bowls and placemats, and offered gourmet room service menus curated by executive chefs. There might even be a welcome letter from the general manager awaiting them! Each room is limited to two pets, a one-time pet fee per stay applies. It’s never been easier to show your dog the gilded life in the Gold Coast.
