Nico Osteria has been making best restaurant lists for years, and with good reason.

With a new chef and an updated menu, Michelin Guide says Nico Osteria is “more trendsetting than trendy.” Located in the established Gold Coast neighborhood, Nico Osteria contributes to the glamour and prestige of this popular shopping, dining, and nightlife destination. Doesn’t get cooler than that.


THE ATMOSPHERE AT NICO OSTERIA


Diners are treated to an open-air concept; views of the kitchen are hard to miss, which adds to the lively atmosphere and makes for a great setting for a date or group. The lofty dining room’s floor-to-ceiling windows create the feeling of an abundance of space and allow for pristine natural light, elevating the atmosphere as well as the experience.

RECOMMENDED DISHES AT NICO OSTERIA


Let’s get to the goods. The dishes stealing the show are the pastas. Namely, the oh-so-classic cacio e pepe. Feeling adventurous? We recommend the savory octopus bolognese. Meatballs are another highlight, and the salt-crusted branzino has certainly been mentioned a time or two.


The literal cherry on top of all this is that Nico Osteria’s desserts can also hold their own. The Infatuation even included them in a roundup of their favorite places to grab dessert. Hazelnut mousse with a caramel crust or tiramisu with puff pastry and chocolate gelato – why choose one when you can try both! With the holidays coming up, plan to wash it all down with their boozy eggnog, to boot.

If your vibe is more bar-side than dining table, their very own Salone Nico is right down the hallway. Beverage-focused and small plates abound, you’re presented with fabulous options for the way you choose to celebrate the night.
